Review: Neal Family Vineyards 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($60)

2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Neal family's biodynamically-farmed estate vineyards in Rutherford and Howell Mountain. It has a primal, savory loaminess on the nose and plush cassis and raspberry fruit on the palate along with notes of cocoa and cigar box. It's a delicious and rather plush wine that perhaps wants a bit of acidity, but it's lovely for near-term drinking and honestly, it's a pretty good deal by contemporary Napa standards, especially if you're looking for an organic, biodynamically-grown Cab. Mark Neal, of Jack Neal and Son, is a major manager of CCOF certified vineyards in Napa Valley.  (92 Points)
