Kenneth Juhasz may be California's best craft Chardonnay winemaker. I am never disappointed by his wines, and the Chardonnays usually wow me. This one is nearly perfect. Made from a Sangiacomo Family property in Carneros, it has the reductive tension and flinty character that comes from perfect execution of Burgundian technique, lovely apricot, lemon and lime flavors, a subtle toasty roundness, and great acidity. Alcohol labels on wine aren't always accurate, but this one is labeled 13%, and with this incredible raciness, that sounds about right. This is what you get when you combine expert growing and expert winemaking. Bravo (98 Points)
