Review: Calera 2016 Chardonnay Central Coast ($30)

Unlike most Chardonnays that carry the the broad Central Coast AVA on the front label, this one discloses all of the vineyard sources on the back label, including notable vineyards like Bien Nacido and Sierra Madre Vineyards in Santa Barbara County and Rincon Vineyard in San Luis Obispo County. The wine is delicious and opulent with apricot, mango, and peach flavors with hints of almond and toast. It isn't overtly smoky or buttery and it has nice acidity on the finish. (92 Points)
