The empire that this California brand has build over the last few decades is certainly impressive. They've done it by reliably delivering outstanding wines again and again, building a steady following. This 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet is just another notch in their belt, another fine Cab with generous black currant and blackberry fruit, a lovely bright cherry note laced with mocha on the finish. It might not be an estate wine with an aggressive personality, but it's well-blended, sophisticated, and simply delicious. Producing a wine of this caliber at just under 100,000 cases per year is no small feat. That's enough wine to distribute nationwide and internationally on par with a classified growth from Bordeaux. It may not be cheap, but in terms of international quality for the money, it rates a pretty good value. (94 Points)
