Paula Kornell, daughter of Hanns Kornell, an early Napa Valley pioneer and sparkling wine maker, sometimes flies a little under the radar with her own sparkling wines, but they're some of the most impressive values in California bubbly. The 2019 Vintage Blanc de Noirs from Napa Valley is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. It's bright, elegant, and as it warms a bit in the glass shows pretty cherry, orange, lemon, and light toast notes. The bubbles are quite fine and lively. This is a great California sparkling wine.
