The cool, windy climate of Monterey County can produce some particularly elegant Pinot Noir, and this might be one of the freshest, but complex Pinot Noirs I have had from the Central Coast in recent years and it's under $20 a bottle, which makes it an absolute steal. It's a very youthful wine with a little bit of grapey baby fat, a nice bit of violet and blueberry on the nose. You could almost confuse it for a Beaujolais, but it is more complex on the palate and more expansive and savory. Overall, it's a terrific wine for the money. Highly recommended. (92 Points)
