Avalon largely offers work-a-day, state-wide California sourced varietal wines that are decent values. Fore a few bucks more than the California appellation offerings, this $18 Napa Cab is really drinkable, and shows a bit of class. It's bright, with pretty violet and blueberry highlights, black cherry, red currant, cocoa and fresh herb notes demonstrating good varietal character and making for a very drinkable, bright, fresh Cabernet. Very well done! (90 Points)
