Nina Buty's 2013 "Columbia Rediviva" from the Phinny Hill Vineyard in Washington's Horse Heaven Hills region is one of the most impressive wines I've had from this very good winery in the last year or two. It's bursting at the seams with generous blackberry, black currant and blueberry fruit with notes of cardamom and coriander spice. Bold and flavorful, it also has great finesse and freshness, showing good acidity and perfectly integrated oak that isn't at all overbearing. The blend this vintage is a very harmonious mix of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah. Highly recommended. 95 Points ($50)Sunday, March 5, 2017
