Review: Kita 2013 Camp 4 Vineyard Syrah
Kita 2013 Camp 4 Vineyard Syrah, Santa Ynez Valley CA ($30) The words balanced, poised and elegant all come to mind when tasting this Santa Barbara County Syrah, and it is a good reminder of just how well-suited Santa Ynez Valley is for growing Syrah. It has a varietally-correct flavor profile with a nose of green peppercorn and coriander spice and pretty cranberry, smoke, black cherry, rhubarb notes. It's not as lavish or complex as some, but it's a very pretty, tastefully made wine. (90)
